HOW DOES UV DISINFECTION WORK?
Ultraviolet light cannot be seen because its wavelengths are shorter than visible light and carry
more energy; sufficient to kill microorganisms. As water passes through the UV unit (which can
be used to treat one faucet or the entire house), the UV light shines through the water, eliminates
the microorganisms and the water exits 99.9% safe.
Maintenance is simple: change the lamp and clean the quartz sleeve once per year.
