Dirt,
sediment, dissolved solids, viruses, organic
molecules, pesticides and chlorine, are
common water pollutants. Reverse osmosis
is exceptionally effective (95% removal).
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Reverse
osmosis is a separation process originally developed
by NASA. Water is passed through a semi-permeable
membrane which catches dissolved solids. ThePurGuard®ROpasses incoming water through a sediment pre-filter,
then the reverse osmosis membrane and finally
through a carbon post-filter. Maintenance is reduced
to changing filters and a year's supply comes
complete with the PurGuard®
RO unit.
PurGuard®
Reverse Osmosis units are compact and easily
installed under the kitchen sink then distributes
the purified water to the faucet and/or
ice maker.
FILTER REPLACEMENT
For
consistent water quality, filter and
membrane replacement should occur as
follows:
Sediment
Pre-Filter
6
months
Carbon
Pre-Filter
6
months
Carbon
Post-Filter
12months
Membrane
12-36
Months
The
unit comes complete with 1 of each filter
and membrane, ready to install. It
makes sense for most users to order a
Replacement set of the filters when purchasing the unit
and keep them handy as the maintenance
dates occur.
